privacy notice
Privacy notice · Cypress Investment Research
Short version: you can read everything here anonymously. Personal data only exists if you send an inquiry — and then it serves one purpose: replying to you.
Cypress Investment Research treats privacy the way this desk treats data in general: collected only when it has a named purpose, stored only as long as that purpose stands, and described to you without decoration. This notice is written to comply with Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA, 個人資料保護法) and is provided as required by Article 17 of that Act.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Cypress Investment Research Co., Ltd., Uniform Business Number (UBN) 41160796, represented by Huang Hui-Ling.
Postal address: No. 102, Sec. 4, Zhongxiao E. Rd., Da’an Dist., Taipei City, Taiwan.

What this site collects, and why
Reading. Nothing. The articles on this site require no login, no account and no personal data. We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking of any kind — this is true as a matter of implemented code, not as a promise of intent. The site’s pages are static documents; when you load one, your browser fetches text, fonts, styles and photographs from this domain and nothing else.
Inquiries. If you use the form on the contact page, the data you type (name, email address, optionally a phone number, your chosen topic and your message) is transmitted as JSON to this site’s own form handler at /api/inquiry on the same domain, and delivered to the desk’s inbox. Purpose: answering your inquiry — and nothing else. We do not profile you, resell anything, or add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
Under the PDPA, your data is collected for the specific purpose of communicating about your inquiry by email, and processing is limited to what that purpose requires. Your consent is implicit in your act of sending the inquiry.
Your cookie choice. If you accept or reject the cookie banner, the choice itself is saved in your own browser’s local storage under the key cypress-consent, by your browser, for your browser. The desk never sees it, and it contains no identifier linking to your person. See the cookie notice for the full table.
Server logs. Like nearly every web server, the hosting infrastructure that serves these pages may keep short-lived technical request logs (IP, timestamp, URL) as a standard part of operating a website. We do not use them to track or profile anyone; if you never contact us, no record connecting you to anything exists on our side beyond these transient technical logs.
Retention
Inquiry correspondence (your message and our reply) is kept up to 24 months after the last exchange (proposed internal schedule, pending business confirmation), then deleted. Your consent choice stays in your browser’s local storage until you clear it yourself or change it on the cookie page. Anything you never sent us never existed.
Your rights under the PDPA
Article 3 of the PDPA gives you, as a data subject, the right to: inquire of and review your personal data; request copies of it; supplement or correct it; request that collection, processing or use be stopped; and request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights against the desk, write to info@cypress-module.digital or the postal address above; we will not demand a reason, and we will not charge a fee.
Transfers and processors
We do not transfer inquiry data to any third party for their own purposes. Personal data rests with the controller at the address above; the only processing beyond that is the delivery path itself (this site’s hosting, which transports the form submission to the desk’s inbox).
Children
The desk writes about portfolio mathematics; its audience is adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and an inquiry that turns out to be from one will be deleted once understood.
Changes to this notice
If the notice changes, the version on this page changes with a new publication date. Material changes affecting inquiries will be described in plain language, not buried.
